Roll To Recover @ Terrigal SLSC

February 9, 2018, 6:00pm - February 9, 2018, 7:00pm

Terrigal Surf Lifesaving Club is proud & excited to bring you Roll To Recover by Recovery Specialist and Accredited Exercise Physiologist Scott Fisher, to ramp up your results in Surf Life Saving as the 2018 season kicks off! WHAT IS ROLL TO RECOVER? Roll To Recover is a specialised program that gets you to practice, implement and master recovery strategies to have you feeling and performing at your absolute best during training and competition. Roll To Recover was created by Accredited Exercise Physiologist and world life saving gold medalist Scott Fisher who has shared his formula for optimal recovery to numerous sporting clubs across Australia. Scott combines a unique approach to recovery with an ability to motivate and empower athletes to find their competitive edge that can make ALL the difference. During the 2 hour event, Scott has specifically combined the latest recovery strategies in Physiology to the sport of Surf Lifesaving. Roll to Recover will have you transforming your daily and weekly exercise routine that will have you feeling on the top of your game both mentally and physically leading into the business end of the Surf Life Saving season. Because sometimes the difference between first and second is too short to not get the most out of your recovery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT WILL BE COVERED ON THE NIGHT? You will be guided through & in some cases have your perception of what is "good" recovery and cool down strategies turned upside down by Accredited Exercise Physiologist Scott Fisher. Be prepared to have fun whilst being inspired with how to achieve your best on the beach – tactics that the person next to you on the line is not implementing. You'll get to create your custom Recovery Plan that will suit any carnival schedule and training routine. So get excited to break away from self-sabotaging eating habits during carnivals and look forward to shopping and packing your esky. Our Special guest Speaker Scott Fisher will be taking you through 5 of the Key principals... Here's just a sneak peak at 3 of them: - How to STRETCH (warm up and cool down) and why... - What to EAT and why... for long term results and energy throughout the day - What to DO on the beach and why... get better results with the right approach ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Say Goodbye to: • Aches and pains caused by injury/overuse • Missing carnivals and teams from minor injuries that could have been avoided • Having a hard time getting to sleep • Not being able to sleep well the night before a carnival • Spending money on expensive massages • Bulky Foam Rollers that you cant take with you • Not knowing what to pack in your esky during carnivals. Get ready to be a more prepared, better conditioned and more focused athlete. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nothing beats Direction, Accountability and a Proven System that is fun and easy to follow. It's time to recover smart on and off the beach. It's time to Roll To Recover.

One more sleep to go....! 🐤🐤🐤 Surf Life Saving Central Coast is super excited to announce that the red and yellow ducks are back ready for their annual duck race tomorrow at The Entrance Memorial Park as part of the Australia Day celebrations. At 4.30pm thousands of red and yellow ducks will be released into the channel in front of Memorial Park for their annual race to raise funds for SLSCC and the 15 Surf Clubs on the Central Coast. The ducks will be channelled to the finishing line and the first three ducks to cross the line win Newcastle Permanent bank accounts to the value of $5,000 (1st $2,500, 2nd $1,500, 3rd $1,000). This is our major fundraiser for the year and all proceeds go directly towards purchasing vital rescue equipment for our local clubs. Anyone can adopt a duck for the race for $5. Tickets will be for sale on the day at the SLSCC Tent located on the waterfront at The Entrance Memorial Park with Duck Tickets $5 each. We encourage everyone to come along, support our local Surf Clubs by purchasing a Duck and join in the fun - See you there..!
